We asked what you are looking forward to this summer
KERRY RYAN Living with her son and dog in Folkestone, Kerry writes in a sunroom with sea views. She’s a poet, playwright and is currently editing a novel and the anthology So Long as you Write (June 2022). She’s the founder of the global writing community: Write like a Grrrl. “This summer I’m looking forward to going sea-kayaking with my son. Ever since we moved to the coast, we’ve been meaning to try it and now I’ve actually booked a course. Can’t wait!” Read why freewriting is a regular practice for Kerry and her son on page 42..
ANOUSHKA FLORENCE
The founder of The Goddess Space and author of The Women’s Circle got started hosting small women's circles in her living room. Her work is based on ancient spiritual feminine practices that are grounded in the belief that the power to heal, to manifest and to live the life we dream comes from within. She offers tailored rituals, baby blessings and more. “Let’s welcome the full boom of summer – the land is abundant; it’s a time to bask!” Find her plans for creating a summer solstice gathering on page 62.
JULIANA BENTLEY Founder and illustrator at littleliefje.co.uk,
Juliana lives in Norfolk with her family. After illustrating her own children’s birth announcements and receiving requests she decided to grow a business. “The thought of summer brings a feeling of hope. It is a time in nature when the hardship of winter has been replaced by abundance. I hope that that is true on many levels for us all. We need a sense that it is ok to sit back a little and bask in the sunshine.” Read about Juliana’s journey on page 69.
NEKOLE AMBER A conscious parenting coach, speaker, occupational therapist and lactation consultant, Nekole wears all the hats! As an entrepreneur, she has been focussed on building an audience of over 70K subscribers on YouTube. “I still have the freedom to be with my kids and husband loads though.
