We all know that time flies when you are having fun, but has it really been two years since Young Friends began? We've organised all kinds of activities for you since May 1997, including wrapping you up in loo paper, telling you scary stories and making you sleep on the floor!

Everyone is delighted that Young Friends have been having such a good time and are now part of this wonderful museum. We are very pleased to tell you that from now on you will be helping the British Museum in a very practical way. Each year we will put aside some of the money we receive from you to help buy son1ething to put into the collections of the museum. We could help to buy a Roman vessel or a Greek vase, part of a treasure trove or an African mask. When we have decided we will let you know and you will be able to find out more about it through special events and handling sessions.

Do yo u think this is a good idea? Let me know by dropping me a postcard at the YFBM office.
