BELOW Landmark Project INTO SIGHT is an installation by Sony Design at Cromwell Place FRONT / LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL RIGHT Plasticity is a sculpture created by Niccolo Casas with Parley for the Oceans ‘Her overarching theme this year is Make Yourself at Home, inspired by the idea of the home as a haven in our turbulent times’ 40 exhibitions curated by Jane Withers. Her overarching theme this year is Make Yourself at Home, inspired by the idea of the home as a haven in our turbulent times. One show will feature interpretations of plant holders dreamt up by Martino Gamper and his gang of like-minded designers, including Max Lamb and Bethan Laura Wood. At the nearby Victoria & Albert Museum visitors will see R For Repair, a show co-curated by Withers and Singapore-based Hans Tan Studio, featuring broken household objects restored and imaginatively given a new lease of life by designers. Also on show will be architect Annabel Karim Kassar’s installation incorporating the reconstructed facade of a house in Beirut. This will explore the rebuilding of the city in the aftermath of the hugely destructive explosion there in 2020.
