Welcome to ou r 400t h i ssue!

Don’t worry, I’m not about to bore you with a tedious trip down memory lane. I enjoy nostalgia as much as the next person, but droning on about the past just didn’t seem right for a magazine t hat’s been nav igat i ng t he bleed i ng-edge of sc ience a nd technology for over three decades. No, it only seemed right to look forward, as we always have, to the future. So, that’s exactly what we’ve done for t h i s i ssue! I nside, we’ve explored some of t he subjec t s t hat have been most popula r wit h you – ou r r eaders – i n t he for mat t hat’s been most popula r : a g r eat, big Q&A.

Of cou r se, we haven’t been ex haust ive. We need to leave somet h i ng for t he next 400 issues. But we’d like to think we’ve mixed together a great science cock t a i l for you to enjoy over t he s t a r t of t he new yea r.

Naturally, there wouldn’t be 400 issues without you, the readers. However you’ve engaged wit h us over t he yea r s – v ia pr i nt, on l i ne or t h roug h ou r podcast – you are the reason we exist. So rather than us tell you about the last 400 i ssues, we’d r ea l ly love to hea r what t he magazine has meant to you over the years, and what you might like to see more of in the future. Either find us on you r f avou r ite socia l media website, whet her t hat’s Facebook, X (for merly Twitter) or Instagram, or just fire us an email at reply@sciencefocus.com.

Hope you enjoy t he i ssue, a nd here’s to 400 more!
