SPIFF is a high-quality, die-cast scale (1:87/HO) model of one of the iconic Brill box-cars that operated on Dunedin’s tramways from 1903 through to the mid-1950’s. With original Dunedin City Corporation signage and SPIFF advertising hoarding, this model evokes and exudes the nostalgia of that bygone era. A unique numbered Certificate of Authenticity, with SPIFF’s history, is included. Once a legend in Dunedin, and since faithfully restored, SPIFF now operates in Christchurch’s inner-city.
We've also modelled this tram as our SELECT Edition to reflect how she appears today with her Christchurch Tramway insignia. A Story Card with the tram's engaging history is included. Acknowledged by Graham Stewart MNZM as works of “supreme modelling”. Both LIMITED and SELECT Editions are available online at www.trams4u.com. *Only 500 models in the SPIFF LIMITED Edition have been and will ever be built. As of 17 February 2024, 236 models have been sold.
