The RCH PICU: • operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year • has 30 physical bed spaces in our Rosella ward • delivers the state-wide Paediatric, Infant and Perinatal

Emergency Retrieval (PIPER) service • is a national funded centre for paediatric heart, liver and lung transplantation, Norwood procedure and staged surgical palliation for hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

Transitioning to Paediatric Intensive Care If you have ever wanted to transition into the Paediatric Intensive Care environment, learn more about our Advancing Competencies in Paediatric Intensive Care Program and Transition to Specialty Practice – Adult ICU, NICU and ED Transition to Paediatrics Program.
