The four designs, Corbus, Empire, Kindred and Division, use variations in pile height, materials and weaving techniques to create subtle texture variations across their apparently simple but perfectly balanced compositions. Lindström, who recently opened a showroom in Manhattan, explains: ‘The collection was inspired by metropolitan cities like New York, with both mid-century and Art-Deco elements used to formulate the patterns. The colours chosen have earthy, vintage tonalities to create an unexpected, but familiar palette that alludes to these design periods.’ www.eriklindstrom.com
