Half a dozen of us spent the day entertaining visitors with small steam engines and eating cake. We’ll bring you a few more photos next month, and I’m twisting Andy’s arm for a full feature. All of this is just a coincidence, but it does highlight that we modellers are terrors for focusing on the front of the train, and being less interested in the rolling stock. Looking at the folder full of future articles, I am a bit light on wagon and coach builds, so if you have a project under construction, or are about to start one, please take some photos and send them to me. We pay for everything published, so it’s a great way to help fund your hobby. The same goes for feature layouts. With the sun out and the plants looking at their best, take a selection of pictures and send me a couple. If it looks like we can turn them into a feature, I’ll just need some words, and you can be a big noise in a future issue. Don’t be modest, there isn’t a garden line that someone won’t be impressed by, and we can all learn from each other.
