Lancelot Ribeiro Heads – In and Out of Our Time 18 September – 29 November every Wednesday to Friday Lancelot Ribeiro, Paranoid, 1965 Estate of Lancelot Ribeiro Born in Bombay 1933, Settled in Britain 1962, Died in London 2010. Working in partnership with the Estate, Ben Uri Reasearch Unit is delighted to present this focus exhibition by Ribeiro, a leading emigre Indian artist who made his life and career here in Britain from 1950. Featuring 20 paintings and drawings, it focuses on his preoccupation with portraiture and imagined heads from both the 1960s and the 1990s. A complimentary display of heads and portraits in the lower galleries are from the Ben Uri Collection.
