EXHAUSTED boss Paul Warne saluted his play- ers after Derby County sealed promotion to the Championship with victory against Carlisle. Max Bird and James Col- lins bagged the goals as the Rams eased to a 2-0 win at Pride Park to spark wild celebrations. “I have a lot of pride in just how well the players have done and how hard it is in certain games – you can’t just turn up and smoke teams 4-0 every game,” said former Rotherham United boss Warne.

“We’ve had some really tough games this year and the lads have hung in there so I have to credit them for their character.
