WITH SUPPLEMENTS Lavinia " Countess Spencer and Her Son" and PRICE SIXPENCE The Japanese in Port Arthur." By Post, 6½d.
The Queen and Princess Victoria were delayed at Portsmouth in their journey 10 Lisbon by bad weather. The Royal yacht Victoria and Albert, which was to have left Portsmouth 0" the 15th inst., was not able to start until the 17th. In the interval of waiting for the weather to improve Her Majesty paid a visit to the Victory. All the principal parts of the old warship were inspected, Her Majesty being most interested in the cockpit where Nelson died. The cockpit has been restored as nearly as possible to what it was like on that memorable October morning off Trafalgar, and the place is now lighted by means of an old-fashioned fighting lantern.
