INDULGE IN MATERIAL THINGS
Sachio Yoshioka is a revered Japanese master dyer. His life’s work has been the creation of sublime textiles. Harnessing the potential of natural dyes and silk Yoshioka employs a technique called kasane –"layers of colour"– to demonstrate his unrivalled sensitivity to colour, the seasons and nature. Delicate as flowers, the scarves would be perfect for a wedding or summer party. Available in subtle aqueous indigo, pink madder and saffron yellow, these are wearable artworks and due to Mr Yoshioka’s painstaking techniques quantities are limited.
Sachio Yoshioka, silk scarves, 190x190cm, £650.
