Dolce & Gabbana’s signature body-conscious Adonis was out in force at the designers’ spring/ summer show with a healthinspired collection of sporting references and natural materials in more muted tones. Accessories reflected the designers’ Olympic obsession (taking their cue from the “men in shorts” masterpiece, Chariots of Fire) in the shape of immense sporting carry-alls ideal for packing gym kits and a weekend retreat’s essentials. Created with natural fabrics such as canvas and leather in organic shades of beige, Dolce & Gabbana’s signature sex appeal is assured with the classic shiny steel plaque, military buckles and studding punctuating the calm.
