AMBIENT SURROUND IMAGING

The Eloquence series uses the superb re-mastering technology called AMSI (Ambient Surround Imaging), a surround-sound multi-channel system invented by DG engineers and developed at the world-famous Emil-Berliner-Haus in Hanover.

With AMSI - a spatial audio concept - the listener can experience greater and improved presence and transparency of sound, more brilliance and a stereophonically refined panorama of sound, creating an almost "live" musical experience. This technique is a complete digital reworking of the original recorded material with the aid of the newly developed AMSI process.

AMSI is a new approach for spatial sound reproduction. Applied to remastered versions of existing recordings, AMSI creates amazing spatial depth when played back on surround-sound compatible Hi-Fi systems, whilst enhancing the ambience during stereo playback

Completely digital. and high-quality, AMSI offers several advantages over analogue techniques it was designed to emulate, the most important being that all sound paramaters are reproduced with great precision, while the typical side-effect of such analogue processes (noise, distortion, etc.) are minimised.
