THIRD SYMPHONY
To the series of recordings of British Music made under the auspices of the British Council, is now added Sir Arnold Bax's Third Symphony. This first recording of a major orchestral work by the Master of the King's Music is also the first recording of the newly constituted Halli! Orchestra under its Condu~tor John Barbirolli. The recording was made after intensive rehearsals under the personal supervision of the composer, who has expressed his entire satisfaction with the performance and the players.
