‘For all my attempts to appear normal at first glance... I’m quite happy for people to know I’m weird; I celebrate my weirdness.’

Non-Fiction/Autobiography • June 2014

Autobiographical stories from the awardwinning actor and comedy writer. Rebecca Front has always used anecdotes from her own life to inform not only the characters she plays but her observational comic writing. In Out of My Depth she takes these stories further, drawing on her own experiences to explore and delight in the absurdities of life and the oddities of human nature. In the tradition of David Sedaris or Clive James, these witty, wonderfully evocative and perfectly poised stories will delight Rebecca’s many fans and win her countless new ones. Rebecca Front is a BAFTA-winning actress and writer. She is best known for her work in such series as The Thick of It (in which she played Nicola Murray MP), Grandma’s House, The Day Today, Knowing Me, Knowing You, with Alan Partridge, Nighty Night, Lewis and Psychobitches. She has also written extensively: her columns have appeared in The Guardian, The Independent and many other publications. She and her brother Jeremy write and star in BBC Radio 4's Incredible Women. Born in East London, she read English at St Hugh's College, Oxford, and was the first female president of The Oxford Revue.
