Mike Fulford’s long career in archaeology parallels that of Current Archaeology: we first reported on his work in CA 54, and since then we have had almost annual reports on his digs, most recently at Silchester. For this special 300th issue of CA, we sent Chris Catling to talk to Mike about his life in the trenches.
