Britain’s coastal frontline: 1914-1918

Today, the First World War is usually associated with the infamous fields of France and Belgium, or the beaches of Gallipoli. But another battle was raging far closer to home, and Britain’s coastline still bears its scars. Lara Band, Alex Bellisario, Megan Clement, Oliver Hutchinson, Gustav Milne, Stephanie Ostrich, Andy Sherman, Lauren Tidbury, and Eliott Wragg have been seeking the traces of a forgotten frontline.
