ELIOT WEINBERGER Eliot Weinberger’s books of essays include Works on Paper (NDP627), Outside Stories (NDP751), and Karmic Traces (NDP908). He is the author of a study of Chinese poetry translation, 19 Ways of Looking at Wang Wei, and a collection of recent political articles, 9/12, and the editor of the anthology American Poetry Since 1950: Innovators & Outsiders. His many translations of the work of Octavio Paz include the Collected Poems 1957–1987 (NDP719), In Light of India, Sunstone (NDP735), and A Tale of Two Gardens (NDP841). Among his other translations are Vicente Huidobro’s Altazor, Xavier Villaurrutia’s Nostalgia for Death, Jorge Luis Borges’ Selected Non-Fictions and Seven Nights (NDP576), and Unlock by Bei Dao (NDP901).
