Rounding off this year’s Spotlights, Vessel Gallery presents Half-Life, an installation by glass artist Elliot Walker. Tackling themes such as abandonment, radiation and environmental catastrophe, Walker will be challenging our ideas and perceptions of the world around us. Unashamedly apocalyptic, Half-Life is an exploration of the ‘post event’, as Walker explains: ‘The vitrification of materials is a common occurrence at sites of great calamity, and this transformation of organic material into something “other” has informed the creation of these pieces.’
