The auction includes works by finalists from the Woman’s Hour Craft Prize. Organised by the Crafts Council in partnership with BBC Radio Four and the V&A, the prize celebrates the most innovative and exciting craft practitioners in the UK today. Exhibited at the V&A from 7 September 2017 – 5 February 2018, the finalists’ works are now touring venues across the UK. The Crafts Council Benefit Auction is a wonderful opportunity for visitors at Collect to have the chance to bid on works by these influential makers, and help to support the future of craft. The auction is powered by Artsy, an international platform, magazine and online resource for art collecting and education. The Crafts Council Benefit Auction opened on Friday 16 February and closes on Monday 26 February 2018. Visitors to Collect are able to view all donated works displayed on the second floor of the Saatchi Gallery. Bid in the auction and help create opportunities for everyone to discover and develop their talent for making. Your support will change the lives of millions of young people through the Crafts Council’s education and participation projects; ensure as many people as possible are inspired by encounters with contemporary craft; and support professional makers from all backgrounds to develop their talents and drive innovation. The Crafts Council advances craft in the UK. It is a charity that relies on public donations to deliver its work. Pledge your support by bidding in the Crafts Council Benefit Auction 2018.
