GOLDSMITHS’ FAIR For almost 700 years the Goldsmiths’ Company has been promoting excellence in silversmithing and goldsmithing through apprenticeships, mentoring and related initiatives in addition to its statutory role assaying and hallmarking precious metal items. In 1982 the company launched Goldsmiths’ Fair, which has become the UK’s leading selling exhibition for precious metal jewellery and contemporary silver. A showcase for the best of British craftsmanship and design in gold and silver, Goldsmiths’ Fair is the premier destination for the most innovative jewellery and contemporary silver design. Notable fair exhibitors past and present include Ane Christensen, Rebecca de Quin, Adi Toch, Shaun Leane, Fred Rich, Jacqueline Mina, William Lee and Silvia Weidenbach. For its first showing at Collect, Goldsmiths’ Fair is pleased to present a selection of the most exciting designer-makers, both emerging and established, working in precious metal today.
