Remarkably, it has now become one of the world’s principal hubs for the study and exhibition of glass. The international centre dedicated to the development of glass as an art form is situated in a small fishing village in Caithness on the north-east coast of Scotland. The annual programme consists of learning and skills development offering a wide range of masterclasses, specialised workshops and exhibitions. The collection of contemporary glass reflects the heritage, wild beauty and extraordinary light of the far north and now represents over 20 years of unique artistic development in the Highlands of Scotland.
