The gallery is mainly focused on highlighting young and contemporary artists from all over the world, with a special attention to northern Europe and Japan, but it also embraces the entire 20th century, showing pieces by acclaimed masters. The gallery works with many Italian museums to bring to Italy international artists working with clay to promote this medium in contemporary art and design. The gallery also runs workshops, talks and lectures and has an artist residency programme and a biennial award. Officine Saffi was founded in 2011 with the aim of promoting contemporary ceramics.
