Summer listening

It’s been a wonderful summer – and not just for the weather. Alongside our jury of some 45 critics, we’ve been listening to the 60 recordings (six in each of 10 categories) that made it through to the Second Round of the 2018 Gramophone Classical Music Awards. And now’s your opportunity to enjoy those recordings as well – just click on the sleeve to be taken to Presto Classical to sample and, if you want, buy the disc. (We started with the 130 Editor’s Choice recordings, supplemented them with any of the critics’ favourites and that long list formed Round   1.) The 10 category winners will be revealed on August 31 and at the Awards ceremony on September   13, one of the those 10 will be named Recording of the Year – catch it live at medici.tv.
