Exclusive preview interplay between the materials and the peculiarities they each have. “Dialoghi is a tactile decoration in which the variety of materials used provides a combination of warm and cold, smooth and rough,” he says. “The liveliness and depth of the glass, the reflection and sheen of the metal, the vibrant grain of the wood and the neutral elegance of the stone – the unique properties of each material interact perfectly.”
The range is as eco-friendly as it is striking. Mosaico+ acknowledges that wood has always been a precious material in its designs, and through the use of ecofriendly wood in the Dialoghi collection, it hopes to reduce the impact the range has on nature. The wood used is sourced from forests that are ecologically controlled to ensure sustainability, while the production and manufacturing process is carried out with ethical practices in place. The backing for each tile is composed of polymers and wood fibres which are reclaimed from environmentally-friendly sources, and the entire product is free from formaldehyde.
The highly creative Dialoghi collection is a masterpiece of the geometric shape. The mathematical appeal of such shapes creates original surfaces for homeowners who are looking to make their tiles the focal point of the kitchen or bathroom. Within the collection, there are six different shapes, including triangle, diamond and rectangle, and a huge range of colours. Tiles can be supplied in two ways – firstly creative customers can design their own unique Dialoghi collection by working with the individual elements. Alternatively the company has pre-designed patterns which can be purchased in sheets.
The neat shapes are coupled with vibrant colours and a surface that is crying out to be touched – proving that Lucchese’s design aim has been achieved. “I think a good design project should not only talk to the user through the eyes, but must also stimulate as many other senses as possible,” he says. “This is the very concept that I wanted to introduce with this collection.” •
