Conserving the shared heritage of Scotland & Asia A launch reception has been held at The Botanic Cottage for the Asia Scotland Trust (AST) which aims to promote the conservation of heritage buildings in South Asia (principally - so far - in Calcutta) by raising funds in Scotland, the UK and elsewhere in the Western world, as well as in India. AST also supports the transfer of skills in building conservation and urban community regeneration. The Trust was offi cially launched by Sir Dominic Asquith KCMG, UK High Commissioner to India. www.asiascotlandtrust.co.uk
