The foundation stone of the new Building will be laid on the 25th of March, 1856. The Raffle has been unavoidably postponed until Monday, the 7th of April, 1856, as the Committee find they cannot have a return of the Tickets issued on St. Stephen’s Day. Subjoined is the sanction of the Bishop for this most important work, repeatedly advertised :— “ St. George’s, April 26th, 1855. “ The changes which have been made in the military establishment at Gosport, and the new Barracks in course of erection, besides the three already iu existence, will render increased accommodation necessary, in order that our Catholic soldiers may be able to hear Mass on Sundays. We beg leave, therefore, strongly to recommend the Collection now, and since September, 1853, undertaken by the Reverend Doctor Baldacconi, 0 the charity of the Faithful, and we trust that his appeal will be abundantly blessed. “ >J THOMAS GRANT, Episcopus.” N.B.— I sm happy to say the New Church is now all roofed in. So far, so good ; but I regret to add that here I must stop if the Faithful do not assist me, as I will not proceed with the work, nor pull down the old wooden Chapel until the expenses already incurred, and which have amounted to about 850t, are first of all liquidated and paid off entirely. The “ Two Sisters” who have so kindly sent 5 t , as mentioned below, quite unsolicited by me, make tho following just remark, viz.— “ That a trifle from many would accomplish my views.” I daily remember my benefactors at the Holy Altar, as the only return of gratitude I can make for their charitable donations, how small soever these may be. Since then he has supplied thirteen Bishops, as named in a former advertisement, with Bells, varying in weight from 2 j tons downwards, including the great Bell of Marlborougl-street Cathedral. Besides Bells innumerable, and of all sizes, to the Clergy of these countries, and the colonies, the chime of Bells cast for his Grace the Archbishop of Halifax, the chime cast for the Archbishop of Calcutta, the chime cast for the Galway Monastery, and the chime cast for the Drogheda Town Hall, cannot be excelled for sweetness of tone and elegance of figure. J. S. supplied the Commissioners of the Ballast Office with the two largest and best BcIIb in Ireland, weighing nearly 5 tons, as fog or alarm bells to prevent shipwreck ; one of them hangs at the Kingstown Lighthouse, and the other at the Bailey Lighthouse, Iiowth; in fact, there are no less than twenty-six large Bells cast by him and now ringing in and near Dublin, including the splendid one hanging in the bcltry of St. Audeon’s Church, High street, all of which might be heard by any Gentleman wantiDga first-rate Bell at a moderate price, “ therefore, experience teaches wisdom.” His letters testimonial, as published, corroborating the above facts, are very numerous. J. S. sent no Bells to the London Exhibition, nor to tho Paris Exhibition, but he obtained the Gold Medal irom the Rojal Dublin Society for exhibiting a Peal of Joy Bells, weighing five tons, and the Silver Medal from the Royal Agricultural Society, and tho Prize Testimonial from the Committee of the Cork Exhibition by letter for superior Bell Founding. “ Verit as culpar bene potest sed dedecori minimesuhjacet auctor mendacii igoominiam meretar.” Baptism a l ZTonts, Cast from new Models, highly ornamented, and made to resemble marble, are now ready for delivery at a mere trifle compared with those carved in that material. “ The changes which have been made in the military establishment at Gosport, and the new Barracks in course of erection, besides the three already iu existence, will render increased accommodation necessary, in order that our Catholic soldiers may be able to hear Mass on Sundays. We beg leave, therefore, strongly to recommend the Collection now, and since September, 1853, undertaken by the Reverend Doctor Baldacconi, 0 the charity of the Faithful, and we trust that his appeal will be abundantly blessed.

“ >J THOMAS GRANT, Episcopus.” N.B.— I sm happy to say the New Church is now all roofed in. So far, so good ; but I regret to add that here I must stop if the Faithful do not assist me, as I will not proceed with the work, nor pull down the old wooden Chapel until the expenses already incurred, and which have amounted to about 850t, are first of all liquidated and paid off entirely. The “ Two Sisters” who have so kindly sent 5 t , as mentioned below, quite unsolicited by me, make tho following just remark, viz.— “ That a trifle from many would accomplish my views.” I daily remember my benefactors at the Holy Altar, as the only return of gratitude I can make for their charitable donations, how small soever these may be.

Eagle Foundry, Dublin. ames Sheridan, in returning his ^ grateful thanks to the Hierarchy and Clergy for the kind patronage bestowed upon his old Establishment, respectfully begs leave to say that the only Peal of Church Bells erected in Ireland since the Reformation was cast by him and erected in the steeple of St. Paul's Church, Dublin. Since then he has supplied thirteen Bishops, as named in a former advertisement, with Bells, varying in weight from 2 j tons downwards, including the great Bell of Marlborougl-street Cathedral. Besides Bells innumerable, and of all sizes, to the Clergy of these countries, and the colonies, the chime of Bells cast for his Grace the Archbishop of Halifax, the chime cast for the Archbishop of Calcutta, the chime cast for the Galway Monastery, and the chime cast for the Drogheda Town Hall, cannot be excelled for sweetness of tone and elegance of figure.

J. S. supplied the Commissioners of the Ballast Office with the two largest and best BcIIb in Ireland, weighing nearly 5 tons, as fog or alarm bells to prevent shipwreck ; one of them hangs at the Kingstown Lighthouse, and the other at the Bailey Lighthouse, Iiowth; in fact, there are no less than twenty-six large Bells cast by him and now ringing in and near Dublin, including the splendid one hanging in the bcltry of St. Audeon’s Church, High street, all of which might be heard by any Gentleman wantiDga first-rate Bell at a moderate price, “ therefore, experience teaches wisdom.” His letters testimonial, as published, corroborating the above facts, are very numerous.

J. S. sent no Bells to the London Exhibition, nor to tho Paris Exhibition, but he obtained the Gold Medal irom the Rojal Dublin Society for exhibiting a Peal of Joy Bells, weighing five tons, and the Silver Medal from the Royal Agricultural Society, and tho Prize Testimonial from the Committee of the Cork Exhibition by letter for superior Bell Founding. “ Verit as culpar bene potest sed dedecori minimesuhjacet auctor mendacii igoominiam meretar.”
