They have accordingly been enabled to increase their School accommodation, and especially to provide for the education of infants, who attend in very considerable numbers. The Schools are conducted by the Sisters themselves, whose aim is constantly not only to give * sound literary education, but also to create and foster habits ot Industry and order in the children. Relying on the sympathy of all charitable person* with them in their endeavours to succour the afflicted and instruct poor lemale youth, the 8isters ot Mercy are further encouraged by the patronage eo kindly vouchsafed to their present Appeal. The Sitters of Mercy, St. Gabriel’s, Ballinaslne, resrectfully invite attention to their BAZAAR, which will take place in that town during the approaching great Annnal Frir. Relief Ot the sick and indigent, employment of young females, and the gratuitous education of the children o f the poor, are the principal works of charity for which aid i* thus sought. The Sisters of Mercy most gratefully acknowledge the generous donations given for these purposes on former occa ions by noble and diumguis^ed persons to whom they had appealed, as well as by the Clergy and gentry o« the neighbourhood, and numerous visitors from di>tant localities. They have accordingly been enabled to increase their School accommodation, and especially to provide for the education of infants, who attend in very considerable numbers. The Schools are conducted by the Sisters themselves, whose aim is constantly not only to give * sound literary education, but also to create and foster habits ot Industry and order in the children.
