The Department of Physics was founded in 2017, building on the outstanding tradition of the former Department of Physics and Materials Science. What we are looking for We are looking for candidates with a strong research record and promising teaching ability, with the goal to establish a worldclass research programme. An initial appointment will normally be made on a fixed-term contract; the appointee can apply for substantiation or tenure during the second contract.
