Her broadcasts for the BBC, made in the period following Partition, include Living in Afghanistan, Woman’s Hour, 8 December 1947; White Child in India, Children’s Hour, 10 June 1948; The Kabul Road, Children’s Hour, 1 November 1948; Bazaars, Children’s Hour, 27 June 1949; From Lahore to Bucharest, Children’s Hour, 12 February 1951; London Calling London, Eastern Service, 7 March 1951; Buried Treasure in the Zemindari, Children’s Hour, 30 September 1955; My First Remembered Christmas, Children’s Hour, 23 December 1955. Among her papers are also her unpublished memoirs: Half A Lifetime (1951) and Judy’s Indian Childhood, entrusted to me at her death in 1994.
