POTS FOR ALL SEASONS
relevant to a generation for whom it is proving difficult to climb on the property ladder and for others who rent but, understandably, prefer not to invest heavily in beautifying a garden they don’t own. So attached to their gorgeous collection of planted pots were they that friends of mine took full advantage of this transportability when they moved from England to France and then, after a couple of years, back again. Certainly not a cheap exercise, but compared to the time, effort and financial outlay of replacing them, very cost effective. Most beneficially, though, their bare French courtyard was speedily and familiarly beautified. On whatever scale, there are many positives in having the choice to take your garden when you up sticks. Some plants are expensive, while others, like many of my own, have sentimental attachment.
