YAMAHA

WHAT ARTISTS SAY ‘In a really good piano, the sensitivity of the heart that reacts to the music is good. Yamaha pianos have this kind of sensitivity, and a brilliant sound’ Sviatoslav Richter (1915-1997)

‘When I sit in front of a Yamaha piano I feel a sense of ease. The touch is very agreeable, and I am able to shape the sound as if I were painting on a white canvas’ Jean-Efflam Bavouzet (b 1962)

TransAcoustic pianos Yamaha’s TransAcoustic technology turns the piano’s soundboard into a loudspeaker – meaning that any sound can be delivered through this naturally resonant component. Using a mechanism similar to Yamaha’s SILENT system, the hammers are stopped from striking the strings in digital mode. It’s even possible to combine acoustic and digital sounds, for example gentle orchestral strings under the natural piano. Due to the highquality construction of these models, sampled sounds come to life with striking realism. TransAcoustic technology is currently available for four upright models (U1, YUS1, YUS3, YUS5) and three grands (GC1, C1X and C3X). Pricing ranges from £12,132 for the U1 TA2 in polished ebony to £34,895 for the C3X TA2.

Disklavier ENSPIRE Yamaha’s latest Disklavier combines SILENT piano technology with full recording and playback functionality. An intuitive interface provides access to 500 built-in songs plus thousands more performances at the Yamaha MusicSoft online store. ENSPIRE ST is available for acoustic models U1, YUS1, GB1K, GC1, GC2, C1X and C2X. There is also a PRO version for the C3X, C5X, C6X and C7X plus SX and CF Series models.

Yamaha’s ground-breaking Remote Lesson technology allows Disklaviers in any location worldwide to connect via the internet for lessons and concerts – a feature unique to Disklavier ENSPIRE.

Imperial. Binaural sampling of the CFX provides an immersive listening experience through headphones, while the three grandstyle models (N1X, N2 and N3X) feature Spatial Acoustic Sampling for a rich, room-filling sound. Pricing begins at £5,370 for the NU1X in polished ebony, up to £20,363 for the N3X.
