And welcome to your new-look Sainsbury’s magazine. The past year or so has changed so many things, and to reflect these changes the magazine team has taken a step back and thought long and hard about what you, our precious readers, might want from us going forward. To start with, we’ve noticed a greater interest in health and wellbeing and how what we eat has a huge influence on both – in the short and long term. In addition, we’re thinking much more about the ways that we live, shop, eat and cook, and how our choices affect the planet. We want to waste less, shop sustainably and limit the amount of plastic we use and throw away. We have embraced all these important issues in your new-look magazine. Look out for the Living Well section, which kicks off on page 91 and has heaps of sustainable, mindful cooking tips and advice throughout the pages. We’re calling this new movement ‘conscious cooking’ – thinking mindfully about what you’re buying, what you’re cooking and why you are eating it. It might be for health benefits, it might be because you’re celebrating something really special or it could be because you feel it’s the right thing to do. Whatever it is, it’s because you’ve thought about it, and so have we! Do let us know what you think about our new approach by writing to us using the details on page 8.
