We asked what are you bringing to fruition in 2022?
BECKY O’ COLE A regenerative gardener, herbalist and forager, Becky lives on the award winning Broughgammon Farm, in Northern Ireland, which she runs with her husband Charlie. She became interested in natural living after becoming burnt out from city life. Find Becky on her popular podcast, Nature & Nourish. Alongside mothering,
she teaches workshops online and on the farm. This Spring sees the release of her first book. Find her recipes for cultivating your own apothecary and working with the healing powers of plants that grow on your doorstep on page 63.
CHRIS FERRIE
Quantum physicist by day and father by night, Chris is inspired by his four kids. He set up Baby University five years ago, and his aim is to introduce complex subjects in board book format. He is also part of the popular Australian science podcast, Sci-gasm. Find all his books (including his adult non-fiction bestseller, which address all the cosmic questions) and an engaging blog about physics (really!) at csferrie. com. Read more about his books and what motivated him to write them on page 21.
LIZZIE WHEELER A printmaker who takes inspiration for her work from the natural world, Lizzie has a desire to capture the moments of magic in these wilder places. Find her latest goddess print on page 60 and all her work at lizziewheeler.co.uk. “This year marks the start of a full-time career in art for me, having spent the past 8 months building my own tiny house, and working around a part-time job before then. I have some really exciting projects in the pipeline, including a series of prints based on the mycorrhizal network - the underground networks of fungi that facilitate communication amongst trees.”
DAISY TURNBULL A teacher and director of wellbeing, Daisy is an accredited Lifeline crisis support counsellor and regularly volunteers on the crisis support line. She is the mother of two children. Drawing on her experiences as a single mother of teenagers, she has written two books in the last few years, the latest of which,
50 Questions to Ask Your Teens, is about raising kind, capable adults. The questions are designed to help parents better connect and understand their young adults. Find out more on page 54. She is also, she says an obsessive crocheter and a terrible runner.
