Creative Review launches complete digital archive with Exact Editions.

LONDON 3rd August 2017

The esteemed magazine for the creative industries, Creative Review, has today announced the launch of its complete digital archive dating back to the first issue in 1980, in partnership with Exact Editions.

The Archive contains the entire back catalogue of the magazine, including the Annuals, which showcase the most outstanding creative work - that’s over 400 high-resolution, searchable issues. All of this content is now easily accessible in one place, enhancing the magazine’s value as a learning resource for students and professionals. And with each new published print issue, the archive continues to grow, ensuring it always offers the very latest in creative thinking.

Exact Editions’ digital platform ensures that every issue of the archive is covered by advanced search functionality. Users can search for terms in a page, issue, decade or even the complete archive. Each issue appears in digital format exactly as it would have been printed originally, thanks to the high quality scanning of the print copies conducted by the British Library. The complete archive can be viewed across web, iOS and Android platforms.

Subscriptions to the Creative Review Archive are now available for academic institutions; this includes unlimited, IP authenticated access to the complete digital archive. Access for users is unlimited so that they can read, download, and search the comprehensive collection without restriction.

Creative Review is now available in the Exact Editions institutional shop here:

Creative Review Editor, Patrick Burgoyne, said of the launch:

"Today marks the beginning of a new venture for Creative Review, as we launch our digital archive. Students and academics can now browse any of our issues with ease, finding creative inspiration from the past and bringing those ideas back to life in the modern world. I find that a very exciting prospect.”

Exact Editions’ Managing Director, Daryl Rayner, said:

“We are thrilled with the outcome of our work with Creative Review. The magazine translates to digital devices beautifully, and the immediate availability of over 400 issues provides a superb resource for institutions wishing to subscribe.”
