Music Monthly Crack Magazine Launches New Digital Archive For Institutions
Independent music publication Crack Magazine has partnered with digital publishers Exact Editions to create a digital archive of fully-searchable issues that stretches back to 2012. Available for institutions around the world, the new resource is a valuable addition to libraries wishing to expand their holdings in the spheres of music and cultural studies.
As Europe’s biggest independent music publication, Crack Magazine has gained a global reputation for supporting rising artists whose music tells listeners something about the world. Prestigious cover stars have included Bjork, Skepta, SOPHIE, Blood Orange, Thom Yorke, Dave and Jorja Smith.
The new archive, which will grow with each new issue published, allows institutional users to seamlessly access issues across web, iOS and Android platforms. Specific articles and interviews can be located at the touch of a button through the comprehensive search function, and remote access options permit the entire archive to be accessed both on and off campus.
Crack Magazine is available in the Exact Editions institutional shop here:
Director Luke Sutton commented: “The platform gives new life to our archive of issues, with the search function ensuring a particularly compelling browsing experience for users. We’re excited to unlock the potential of the institutional market!”
Managing Director of Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, remarked: “The striking covers and remarkable design of Crack Magazine make the new archive a treat for the eyes as well as the cultural mind.”
