The British Museum’s Remus Is Now Available For Institutional Subscriptions
Children’s magazine Remus, published by the British Museum, has launched subscriptions to an archive of over 30 issues spanning 14 years. Institutions can subscribe through digital platform Exact Editions to gain instant IP-authenticated access to the modern archive and all futures issues published, with the complete archive coming soon.
Published three-times a year, Remus was previously exclusively available as part of the British Museum’s Young Friends Membership. The magazine is packed full of fun facts and activities, perfect for teaching 8-15 years olds two million years of human history. Since 1753, the British Museum has showcased the stories of the remarkable people who have come before us, allowing children to explore the extraordinary diverse history of cultures worldwide, from small communities to vast empires.
Institutional subscription features provided by the Exact Editions platform provide librarians with usage reports, MARC Records and KBART data. Whilst the advanced search function allows teachers and children alike to search for specific historical figures and events across the web, iOS and Android devices.
Remus is available in the Exact Editions institutional shop here:
Membership and Support Engagement Coordinator at the British Museum, Jessica Lane, remarked: “We’re really excited to be offering Remus to institutions worldwide. It’s a valuable educational tool, which teaches children about human history in a fun and interactive way.”
